Donald Trump is called many things. He is put down, very plausibly, as the biggest
fraudster, con artist, scammer, etc., WE, the People, ever ratified to lead America.
Harsh? In fact, all those images miss his defining persona unless explained
within the clinical definition of a sociopath, described and published on a
subject other than Trump in 2012, not 2016. *
Why even discuss his personality? Because he is President now. Sociopaths
are masters at influence and deception, incapable
of feeling emotions as shame,
guilt or remorse, dominate
others and "win" at all costs, even to the point of logical
absurdity. Very little of what they say actually pass a fact or reality
test.
For example, a sociopath caught red-handed
with a suitcase full of cash he stole, might declare he actually rescued the
money from being stolen by someone else--that he was attempting to find its
rightful owner. While others sort the facts, he misdirects discussion on the
subject, keeps the money and says, ‘It’s old news now’. If he is still questioned
about the money, one is attacked for questioning his honesty. He's the hero,
see?
Sociopaths are masters at presenting
themselves as champions with high morals, ethics and values. But they are the
clinically genuine, criminal minds in society who thieve, deceive, destabilize,
and incite emotional chaos among and between people. They are masters at
turning groups against each other, then proclaim themselves to be the one, true
savior. They create strife, argument and hatred but never apologize—instead,
go on the attack.
They are delusional at so many levels that
their brains treat logic and reason with contempt…hence, clinically sociopathic.
You cannot reason with a sociopath.
Such behavior, commonly translates in public images lacking many qualities
that mark a civilized man: veracity, dignity, incorruptibility, ease, tolerance.
Vanity without pride, voluptuousness without taste and learning without wisdom.
Fortitude, such as it is, is wasted upon puerile objects. Charity is a form of
display. But then, none of us are perfect…
Many people accept without
question, such delusional (but convincing) lies, behavior and mythomania because ‘Trump is President’. They buy into false narratives, toxic
solutions and caustic behavior--all driven into their heads through complex social
networks, linguistics, emotion and fear.
This makes Donald Trump’s
sociopath personality dangerous because when people are sucked into such charismatic,
but destructive influence, the safety and security of ALL are at risk. (Think
Jim Jones, Charles Manson, Marshall
Applewhite. No one survived their leadership).
It should not be the dominant
redeeming quality of any President, anywhere or any time.
